This chef’s knife started as a personal project, and it’s one I’m really proud of. It’s built to be used, but with enough detail and character to really stand out.
The handle is a frame tang construction of VG10 Suminagashi - black Mango with inlays of resin-coated Abalone, (mother of pearl), and carbon fibre. It has a solid, balanced feel in hand.
An ebonised Oak Saya completes the package, finished with matching Abalone (mother of pear)l inlays to compliment the handle perfectly.
The blade is VG10 67 layer Suminagashi stainless and has a European-style profile, with a comfortable belly for rocking cuts and a fine tip for more detailed work. The heel is nice and tall, giving good knuckle clearance on the board.
